Privacy Policy

We value your privacy and following the new rules set by the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have updated our Privacy Policy as of 7th March 2023.

This Privacy Policy tells you how and why we collect, store and use your personal data

It tells you about your rights in relation to your personal data and how the law protects you. It also covers how to contact us and the authorities if you have a complaint.

We ask that you read this Policy carefully so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. If you have any questions or would like to exercise your privacy rights, please contact us directly.

When do we collect your data?

We collect specific data when you make an enquiry or place an order. We also collect data when you follow us on social media, use our websites, engage with our emails or sign up for our notifications.

What data do we collect?

We collect a range of data when you enquire or place an order with printedluxurybags.co.uk. This may include some or all of the following:

How do we use your data?

We use your data for fulfilling your orders for goods and services, managing your relationship with Printedluxurybags.co.uk and our Parent Company Stevenage Packaging, for our internal administration, on occasion for surveys in order to improve how we work and the products we produce and for our own legal and financial records. In all cases where we process your data, it will be on one of the following legal bases:

Third parties

We will only share your data with a third party if required to do so by law, or if it is necessary to fulfil a particular service on your behalf.

When you place an order through any of our online shops or with one of our team over the phone, payment may be taken via our merchant services provider (Stripe, Inc.), who will collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and process your payment details. We will pass your name, email address, postal address and phone number on to our courier (DPD Group) or, if necessary, another specialist delivery service so that they can deliver your order and contact you about delivery in order to fulfil our contract with you. Stevenage Packaging Ltd will use your email address to send you newsletters, surveys and promotional material. For this purpose, we pass your data to The Rocket Science Group LLC, trading as Mailchimp, to process on our behalf. Mailchimp may also process your personal data for their own legitimate interests, including but not limited to product development and business operations. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters or promotional material, you can opt out by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting our team. We also use Lead Forensics which provides businesses with the details of organisations that have visited their website based upon business IP tracking. Lead Forensics matches this data to a database of business contact points, presenting this information to its customers as potential contacts from the visiting organisation interested in the products/services on offer based upon the pro-active business visit. To do this, Lead Forensics will process first name, surname, and email address along with business data to present that information to its customers.  Lead Forensics acts as a data processor in this regard; lead Forensics is not liable for the onward processing of the data via each customer.

If you follow or interact with us via social media (such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), we can only see the data you have made public. We do not store or process this data other than to interact with you on those platforms. Each social media platform has its own privacy policy over which we have no control.  If you sign up for our apps using your social media account (such as Facebook or Twitter), we only receive your email address, which we use in order to create an account for you, but we do not store any other details. Each of these apps has its own terms and conditions, which will identify any specific use of your personal data which we may make, that is outside the terms of this privacy statement.

In order to operate effectively, we collect certain information, such as IP address, browser, and operating system, automatically from your computer or device when you use our websites and our apps. We have a legitimate interest in doing this in order to analyse usage of our website and apps, but we will also seek your consent using a pop-up on our website. The data we collect in this way is not used to identify you, nor is it stored with your personal details. It is kept only for statistical purposes and, we believe, has a minimal impact on your privacy. Nevertheless, to change what information we collect automatically, you can adjust your privacy settings within your device.

Keeping your personal data secure

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal data to those with a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your data will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach.

We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

When communicating with us by email, you should take all reasonable precautions to protect any sensitive personal data.

How long do we keep your data for?

We will only store your personal data for as long as necessary or legally required. Once your personal data is no longer needed, we securely destroy it by shredding the documents.
